I'm doing much better than I was a year ago...

 ...but not as well as I intend to a year from now!

Yes, I was very sick for well over a year and came close to dying back in March. That's when they discovered the cancer. Since then, I've had several surgeries and procedures and now I'm undergoing chemotherapy.

I was lucky in several ways.

The important thing is that I'm slowly recovering and getting stronger month by month. A year from now, I intend to be healthy, stronger, and cancer-free.

So, why do I keep talking about "a year from now?"

It's because I believe that -- once we decide to make a change in our life -- we can accomplish some major results in as little as a year from when we make the decision, as long as we work on it regularly and with determination.

Now that I'm feeling a little better, I'm starting to do a little work now and then. I'm not yet capable of doing all I was doing a couple of years ago, but I'm making progress.

I will not let this cancer win.
